About Dix Hills, NY

Located in Suffolk County, NY, Dix Hills is named after a local native – Dick Pechagan – who farmed in the area around 1689.  In 1700, Pechagan sold this area to the Town of Huntington.  The area was mostly used for farming until after World War II.
